Very competitive pricing available for fast turnaround PHP / JS or Node projects. If you are looking to develop a new project, clean up/refactor an existing one or something else/different then please get in touch. Just as happy to work on legacy/vanilla PHP applications as Laravel apps, or to port from one to the other (or give opinions on feasibility of that for your project).
I like to work in a methodical way, typically writing simple tests for new functionality as I go, and also isolating any bugs/likely bug surface area. At the same time I also get satisfaction from "shipping". So it's important to me to achieve a harmonious balance between these, so expect this to be an area of focus in terms of communication. My technical interests are anything from simple CRUD/REST APIs through to integration of more advanced features, which could be real time application (Pusher/Websocket, possibly Reverb when this is released) or integration with ML models and pipelines.

I'm a builder, and I'm getting bored with contract work. Time to get back in the game and make something bigger. I've been around long enough to know that good people can make great things in any stack if they're inspired.
I want to work on something that makes the world better; with smart, professional, committed teammates; and passionate, energized leadership; not too far from the customer.
I offer creative problem-solving; excellence in communication; commitment to the software; wide experience; and good people skills. Oh yeah, and I can hack, obviously.
---
I would love to find a great team that's putting serious wood behind the arrow and wants a technology leader now, or as they grow. I've done a lot of "software architecture" but I still love to code, and do it every day. Startups welcome, I'm solving for impact first!

I build browser automation agents that run in Node.js frameworks such as Playwright, browser extensions (Chrome Extensions), and Electron Applications. While traveling the world during the past year working on many personal projects, I built an IPC/RPC framework for consistent communication between JavaScript runtime execution contexts with a strongly typed interface which solves a very specific problem. Browser automation requires orchestrating several different JavaScript processes using many different messaging APIs, such as WebSockets, postMessage, fetch, MessageChannel, sockets, etc. If you are at Microsoft, there are reasons you would be very interested in my current project.

I've developed, managed, hired, and consulted during my career and am passionate about delivering great software and building great teams. I also worked full-time in my own business for nearly a decade (retail and eCommerce) and have all the experience, knowledge, and scars that come from that journey.
I prefer opportunities that still keep my feet on the ground writing code, reviewing code, and/or designing and architecting solutions. That said, I've mopped floors, I've presented to boards, and I've been at the helm of the ship.

For the past year and a half, my passion project has been developing a comprehensive Python framework designed for building modular, asynchronous, and event-driven LLM applications. I'm a generalist, full-stack in the original sense of the term. I've done a little bit of everything in the last 30 years. I left Google a few months ago and I'm looking for something to do -- it's one of these "I'll know it when I see it" situations.Ideally looking for something I haven't done before -- I'm curious about AR/VR, robots, drones, fintech. I'm not particularly interested in AI, blockchain or web3. I can write code, I can write for humans, I can lead teams, I can teach and mentor.

I'm a mathematician who can code and write. I love solving problems and I love writing things up in creative and engaging ways -- whether it's explaining why the Black-Scholes equation is what it is, why this bridge [^0] has weird curvy bricks, or how to make your graphs look nice in matplotlib.
If a mathematically-switched on writer can solve problems for you, hit me up. I'm open to contract work, freelance projects, or a permanent post.

I've been programming for 30+ years, starting as a kid. Currently a technical product management director at a large public company, but looking to move to a individual contributor role at a small-ish company (between 40-200 employees). Prefer part-time.
I've worked at every level: launching a startup from scratch, bringing up new hardware boards, writing firmware, full stack web development, and building PaaS.
I operate with very high autonomy: you can point me an ambiguous project, tell me the speed/quality tradeoff you want (e.g. rapid PoC or production-grade deployment) and I will figure out who to work with, what needs to be done to get all the way into production, and then actually do it.
The ideal role would allow me to do actual work, meaning either heads-down development or working sessions with other engineers, at least 90% of the time.
