Very interesting, your readme.md would benefit from a pic of it running on the system and showing something in Japanese!

I always thought of a similar system for a jailbroken Kindle, I really like the idea of spaced repetition on the go in a device that is not a phone full of distractions.

I could see it working nicely with physical buttons on your device too, maybe you could do some gamifying scores to match its vibe.
