This is the consequence when search engines cut out all the sites they used to send traffic to and instead present AI summaries as their own seemingly-authoritative content in order to keep the user from leaving. If you provide material in a way that your users trust, then you have to back it up. The alternative is to make sure that your users don’t trust it (and thus are disinclined to use it).
