Inductors are large, expensive, hot, and unreliable.
Not on modern high-frequency switchers.
GaN stuff can be 99%+ efficiency. The frequencies are multiple MHz which shrinks the inductors significantly--sometimes allowing PCB based coils (See Anker 120W teardowns).
