My point is that it’s not about the inability to “simply” let things go in general, as the wording suggests throughout the comment. That’s too simplistic. It matters which things we are talking about, or in other words, which things people care more about.

I’m not advocating letting go of privacy, just addressing the reality of how people make choices.
