alt Hacker NewsI recently heard from a friend that this is due to something called "izzat". Admitting any sort of wrongdoing would reflect poorly on them and their family, to the point they would rather lie or do the wrong thing than damage their family's reputation.
What I don't understand about this is that, if you become "the guy that always does the wrong thing", doesn't that also damage your family's reputation? I don't mean to come off insulting here, just trying to understand.
