To be fair, UXGA was a thing 20 years ago. I don't think it makes sense for Apple to care all that much about low DPI monitors. They don't sell any, and they wouldn't be acceptable to most Apple people, who have had crisp displays available for > 10 years now. I wouldn't be surprised if the number of Apple users on low dpi is single digit percentage.
