Funny how similar this is to the famous comment on Dropbox's Launch HN post in 2007.

"1. For a Linux user, you can already build such a system yourself quite trivially by getting an FTP account, mounting it locally with curlftpfs, and then using SVN or CVS on the mounted filesystem. From Windows or Mac, this FTP account could be accessed through built-in software."

Why is it funny? Is Dropbox supposed to be some kind of success? Their stock is down -16.72% from IPO seven years ago.
