Show HN: RustFS – Migrate from MinIO via simple binary replacement

I'm already using RustFS in my project, which rewrites Kubernetes in Rust: https://github.com/rk8s-dev/rk8s. We are working on a distributed filesystem on the RustFS.

Anyone have the same concern with me? will RustFS close source again in a few year like MinIO. then we need to find another alternative.

Curious how RustFS handles MinIO’s quorum and locking logic after replacement. What’s the performance overhead like?

What we've achieved: By replacing the MinIO binary with RustFs, we achieved full compatibility.

What’s the rollback path if we want to switch back to MinIO after migration?
