Every neural science study ever done is a group study, scan 100 people, average the results, and the individual variation gets completely washed out. But the pipeline used here is free and fully documented, so there's nothing stopping someone from doing the n=1 version: baseline scan → learn Mandarin for a year → rescan, and see if your hippocampus actually changed. Surprised nobody in the biohacking community has done this yet when people are already dropping $300 on CGMs.
