It really hasn't been insane, that is just recency bias. Better spam, some niche capabilities like voice cloning, some scalability to applying an exploit to more targets at once.

Anthropic et al having better exploit dev is a capability which aids both sides. But regardless, most exploits use n-days not 0-days.
