OpenAI will do it too, maybe a bit less to avoid pissing people off after seeing backlash to Anthropic’s move here. Or maybe they won’t make it dumber but they’ll increase the price while making a dumber mode the baseline so you’re encouraged to pay more. Free ride is over.
