maybe, but they're burning the compute regardless. it seems ostensibly likely that reducing the ROI for compute burnt will cause less compute to be burnt long term
I am don't have an opinion on the efficacity of such poisoning, but your comment is about as useful as "when being violently attacked, do not resist, as you only make yourself suffer for longer"
