Software companies always value the DX of a single codebase over the value of platform and usecase specific benefits. Between engineers complaining about duplication and marketing wanting every feature everywhere immediately it's a losing battle for offering the best possible software for the job.
IMO new features and waiting a few months for other platforms to catch up are often secondary to that. But companies have competing interests
