Anyone who’s actually used Azure knows it’s an unmitigated disaster for uptime. The problem is that this has been consistently true for like a decade now. This indicates real core architectural deficiencies they’ve been unable to address.

Management react differently when it's a 3rd party issue:

    "The systems are down, it's a global Microsoft Cloud issue affecting everyone"

    vs

    "The systems are down, Bob from my team made an error but we are working to fix it"

It's fine for things with poor uptime to exist. The problem is that people use it anyway. I think this is a lot to do with corruption. Like when Microsoft bribed a German city to stay on Windows/Office.
