FYI, it's not so much photons (gamma rays) as muons.
Muons are nasty little buggers.
If only they were as easy to detect as morons. One is easily detectable with a single glass of beer and nothing more. The other, however, needs dry ice, or a pint of beer on a slab of dry ice.
