Yeah, clearly some religious event or what not, nothing scientists could have pointed out that might lead to more extreme weather events and natural disasters. It's truly a mystery what could be going on.

I’m genuinely asking here - is climate change thought to have influence on earthquakes? I wouldn’t have expected so, but maybe there are some non-obvious pathways for it to be the case?
