Show HN: Make your Framework 12 sound like a creaky door

I was poking through the iio devices on my Framework the other day and turns out Framework 12s have a pretty accurate hinge angle sensor! So I made a version of LidAngleSensor (https://github.com/samhenrigold/LidAngleSensor) but for the Framework 12 on Linux, so you can make your hinge sound rusty

That's really fun and cool! :) I was hoping the sound would also be sped up/down (or change of pitch perhaps would work better) as you moved the hinge faster/slower, so you could do that really slow "tack-tack-tack" sound like when you move a really heavy door on a worn hinge really slow

from the readme:

> the filtering is optimised for framework 12's hinge stiffness.

never in a million years would I expect to have to optimize software for a given hinge stiffness, this made me chuckle just reading it

I like that :)

It finally feels premium. This is really funny

I'm reminded of the hacks for old ThinkPads that read the accelerometer used to detect drops and park the disk heads; by slapping the machine on either side, you could switch to the next or previous desktop.

Are you running MacOS on your Framework?
