This is more my problem with it. Obvious AI usage tends to be slop content, so any sign of it becomes a useful heuristic as to whether the subject is useless spam/slop. But I'm not anti-AI. It's a category of tools that can be useful. I think using AI as part of the editing process can be very useful. Unfortunately it also enabled more spam. And if it looks like spam, I'll instinctively treat it as such.
Yeah exactly, I think the massive volume increase in content requires more aggressively filtering what you pay attention to. My tolerance for bad content has gone to nothing because the second I realize I can prompt the same article into existence except more personalized, I’m out - and the next time I see that company/person’s blog, I’m ignoring it.
Not everything made with some kind of AI assistance is slop, but all slop is made by AI.
