alt Hacker NewsWhat's the point of such a famous database getting more stars on GitHub? Maybe my perspective is different but to me MariaDB is the default choice of relational DB after PostgreSQL

Kind of agree, though using MariaDB is infinitely easier on Windows than Postgres.
