No, we're not expecting someone else to stop it. We voted for this. The evil is not imposed on us. It is us.
Not everyone, but a majority. The minority is looking for ways to stop it, but it requires getting literally everyone else to work together. Which means any disagreement among them results in a loss, and more of the same evil.
...and this inability to get people to work together is architected, designed, and reinforced constantly. Fact: no where in any general education within the United States are people taught how to discuss issues with disagreement. This is strategic: the lack of this education creates easily emotionally swayed non-intellects that fall for cons over and over. The US is a conman paradise.
Less than half of people who voted voted for Trump, and turnout was 64%.
Being allowed to chose between two evils every few years isn't democracy.

Roughly 1/3 voted for the winner, 1/3 for the loser, and the rest didn’t vote.
A majority did not choose this.
It's not a majority at all. it's a manipulating minority.
