The basic idea is that instead of trying to solve the general case in robotics (ie, the humanoid companies - multiple tasks, multiple environments, generalization, etc) which needs billions of capital, can you efficiently deploy current tech to robustly do one task in one environment for cheap.
Cute idea! It doesn't snow here, so I don't know how the business of snow clearing works, but I would be curious if this could be used by an HOA for residential clearing too.
