It is undoubtedly a bias against joy which wasn't "earned" or "deserved," especially through technology or social class. Similar to how non-white races are accepted as athletes. It's culturally ok for "them" to experience and do/take that as long as it sustains the boundary between us and them. Otherwise, "we" perform a safe version of it, such as time-boxed group imagination of the Christmas elf. Participating in group illusions on a computer screen is allowed bc our bodies remain free from our own control - that's the job of the culture that "got us here." (White boomers). Plays by contrast are suspect bc they require few resources, little dependence on the controlled world and bc they leave room for unsanctioned corporeal participation.

I'm sure most will disagree with me, that's ok. In fact, it's generally required of most to virtually "stone" anyone espousing these viewpoints in order to maintain your position in the post-corporeal hierachy... Wouldn't want this tribe to appear sympathetic to the wrong viewpoints.
