He isn’t some sort of actively dangerous criminal that needs to be stopped at any cost, so even in the worst case scenario you just catch him some other time.
I’m an european. Gun use in US is simply completely normalized. Even if you say that the law allows shooting him there, why would anyone support that?
A vehicle is a deadly weapon. Would you personally accelerate against a police vehicle with active lights that is conducting a traffic stop on you?
Accelerating towards law enforcement is a deadly threat.
If he's willing to threaten them with a deadly weapon, what else is he willing to do?
