It's called Facebook, because it collected photographs to be used for facial recognition data, much like personal information was collected for sale to commercial interests. In fact, Facebook often used to ask you to identify people in photographs.

Skype and Zoom have been used to train AI to create human likenesses (which is why they are free to users), and probably for identification purposes too.
