LinkedIn has a couple of useful features: Getting in touch with former coworkers; seeing who might know the hiring manager for a position you're applying for; uh... that's about it.

The rest is garbage but I guess is how they make their money.

update it once a year with the resume. sometimes a mid-year connect to coworkers or respond to someone I know who poked me.
