Except nothing logical or sensible is ever done by the government. Which means it won't happen. At least not in the next 10 years.
By the time they come to that conclusion it will be 2035. And starting any talks or preparation would take at least another 5 years if not 10 given how slow these things move. And that is on the assumption public is not against it.
We are looking at 2046. The probability of Scotland breaking out and join the EU is higher than that happening.
I do not expect it to happen in my lifetime. I dearly hope we manage to strike a deal that restores our freedoms to live and work within the EU, but I’m not holding my breath.
