alt Hacker NewsFor that kind of functionality, I would always recommend Avidemux[0]. It's quite a light package (which I like), and it allows you to do that and some other useful things too.

Dunno if it’s just me, but I tried to download it the other day and couldn’t. The windows download link just punts you right back to their own site.

I absolutely love Avidemux but it doesn't preserve subtitles when removing a middle clip like lossless cut can.
