youre comment is getting to the real economic future: nursing unions will not sit back and let this happen. if the "productivity fantasies" (well said) are real this will get ugly. the competent nurses where i live are in strong unions

The industries with the highest costs - health care, housing, education - are the industries most heavily interfered with by the government.
The industry with an absence of government interference, software, has seen prices drop to zero.
