(Sarcasm aside, there obviously are big problems for how these 2 nations responded to the massive terrorist attacks. But I kind of think it’s questionable to pretend there was no big terrorist attack that triggered the response...)

Highly pertinent comment, which is duely being "flagged down". (Does HN have a bigotry problem? To be fair, probably not more so than your typical mainstream media outlet.)
Let's also remember some of the glaring WTFs about 9/11:
• no plane at the Shanksville site • no plane at the Pentagone • aluminium planes ("eggshells") shown on TV going cookie-cutter style through steel girders • WTC building 7 "pulled" (Silverstein), which takes months of preparation • unprecedented and ridiculous "pancake collapse" (which of course was demolition)
Even if there was only a single one of these severe plausibility issues ("showstoppers") for the "terrorist attack" narrative, the entire story should be met with the utmost scepticism, if not straightforward refusal to accept.
But all five of them, and people still go on about the alleged victims, now with the anniversary "dust cloud" refresher? Seriously! First try understanding how this "Hollywood in Manhattan" show was pulled off, and how you were fooled into believing it.
