There's quite a difference between stealing a loaf of bread and making a career out of fraud to pay your way through college.

Of course, this type of fraud is legal for the one doing the work, so even on that front the comparison doesn't really work.

Beats scamming old people out of their retirement money, I guess, but not exactly a job that people will feel bad about disappearing.
