Which projects still use BeanShell? I have not heard of BeanShell since... idk 2012? or something, who is maintaining it as well, I would hope someone didn't just fork it and Oracle owns the rights to it somehow? Was Sun fully involved with BeanShell? I don't recall some of this.

Love seeing old projects come back to life though.

Beh, i used to use Java all the time for a bunch of stuff (mainly desktop tools and the like) but after Oracle bought it my interest to it dropped like a rock and remained on the ground after the whole Oracle vs Google circus :-P.

Nowadays i still avoid any languages primarily backed by some large corporation.

A fairly large community of people use MicroManager to run and automate microscopes, which is an extremely overgrown ImageJ plugin.

jEdit uses BeanShell and appears to still be alive.
