About 8 years ago I joined a meetup of techies that just... meets once a month at a restaurant for dinner; no agenda otherwise.

We stopped meeting for a bit during the pandemic, and then after the pandemic just moved to a group text message.

The big factor is that we all just kinda agree that we're meeting once a month. Because it's at a restaurant, it's super easy and requires almost no planning.

Kinda makes me want to find a place to have a monthly pot-luck with like-minded people.
