alt Hacker NewsI am very surprised at the number of people in this thread who are labelling this time old tradition of inviting people into your home as stressfull, unnecessary, or a waste of their time. To be honest it is quite depressing.

I have a theory that the internet gave antisocial people an outsized voice they lacked before. Poorly socialized people before the internet had little forum to say anything where as now they can overwhelm any forum online while continuing their anti social mentality.
It’s like if you gave your grouchy shut in uncle a megaphone to scream at everyone from his veranda every day nonstop
