Except online poker (here in the states)! Gotta keep that one prohibited. Now, betting on every freethrow Joe BBall takes in a game ... we're morally good there. It's those pesky immoral cards we have a problem with!
Individual liberty is a dangerous thing, by design.
Existence isn't safe, and it's not up to the state to try to make it safe for you. It's our responsibility as a society to ensure that you have maximum liberty, insofar as it does not directly harm other people.
You are entirely free (or, should be) to harm yourself, or to make decisions that put yourself in danger.
