I cannot reproduce this on 27. I think writers should undertake some degree of wider research before making strong, universal claims.

Could be Intel specific -- the writer has a touch bar.
Interesting, someone else said they couldn't reproduce that either, but a quick search when I wrote it confirmed I was not the only one.
On reflection it does sound like I'm implying most things in this post are universal. I, of course, would have no way to verify that. Perhaps I should've taken greater pains to note that YMMV. Thanks for that.
