alt Hacker NewsThis is classic whataboutism. Tethered caps and energy security aren't competing for the same budget or the same people. Nobody delayed a gas pipeline to write a cap regulation. You can think the caps are annoying (they are) and still see that they have nothing to do with a closed strait.
Actually, some of the current designs are not annoying at all. Some are even nice in that you don't have to worry about where the cap is. I am looking forward to everyone adopting those eventually.
