Picking up a trade like that I believe also requires a much more practical and hands-on mindset, which said kids of white-collar parents might have had less opportunity to develop in the first place.

I'm often in awe when I have these guys here, doing stuff and being allowed to observe, ask questions and learn (as much as that is possible, passively).

They just do things. An obstacle appears and it is just gone within minutes and with some clever workaround.

The white-collar corporate mind cannot comprehend.
