alt Hacker NewsUnrelated but Where is the ‘Sjamaan’ coming from? Ctrl+f doesn’t give any results. Not familiar with the Chicken/Scheme nomenclature but gives me the yuck’s (most if not all self declared shamans I met were total creeps)

Long-running online handle - I fondly remember sjamaan from #netbsd on Freenode in “The Olden Days”.
It's just a somewhat-funny-at-the-time nickname which has been going on for too long to change it. I don't particularly like the nickname anymore nor do I identify as a shaman.
