That is one where you need to do the math. the source of the power for these trucks is an unknown proportion of fossil fuels and there is transmission loss for electric power.
Also, assuming a 10% increase of tire wear rate seems unreasonable: I’d assume it’s proportional to the weight of the vehicle.
People have done the math for electric cars, and the elimination of micro-particulates from the exhaust and the massive reduction from brake dust significantly outweighs the increase from tires.
Also, tire micro-particulates are mostly deposited on the road rather than in the air where they are far more dangerous.
It'd be nice to see similar analysis for large trucks. I suspect the answer is the same, but it'd be nice to confirm.
