AMD TrueAudio was doing the audio raycasting thing many years before the PS5 released [1]

It's a rather niche feature, don't think too many games ever used it.
I am aware. But the question was what can the current generation do that the last one didn't - well, PS4 couldn't so that, PS5 can. And because it's built right into Wwise a lot of games support it(whether it's wired in correctly in them is a different question, but I know all games I've worked on had it)
