I think that removes agency and responsibility from the public.

The truth is that people like outrage and outrageous content.

Boring, even handed content does not get engagement.

We have to call out human nature to be able to reckon with it.

The public learning technology removes their agency from themselves to be competent in literate in the use of those technologies for themselves, and to recognize it being used against them.

This is what I meant. Is that what you are saying removes agency from the individual?
