I mean it was a great anticheat tool even back in the day, still no clue why they closed down. New battlefield or call of duty wouldnt need kernel anticheats.

Why? Because Google has no patience for a product that's not an immediate success. They have no willingness to pour in the money and effort it takes for a new product to gain traction.

Would it have gotten traction in the future? Don't know, but with Google it was certainly never happening.
