The thing that stopped me from attempting again was 15 years ago I finally realized that no one knows what happens after you die. So I couldn’t really say for sure whether they’re dying by suicide would lead me in a better situation.

I can't imagine what you're going through but just know that you matter and that the world is a better place with you in it. I hope you are doing better and you get the help you need.
I guess this isn't the place for it, but from a scientific point of view, I'm quite certain what's after (i.e. I've convinced myself) ...
