'backlash' is underwhelming. They single handedly murdered 5.3 codex which was great by making it slooow and duuumb, and pushed people over to their new ones. 5.6 was a decent candidate but it was so slooooow.

And then double or triple the cost for Plus and Pro by nerfing their effective power? I never looked for an alternative faster. They really screwed the pooch.

Been quite happy with deepseek v4.1 flash, muse 1.3 and haiku 5.5.
