Not op, but I've been on the rogue agent thing a very long time, but mine is emergence based.
Worms and viruses are concepts deeply based in software, and are emergent behaviors of computer code. An LLM can, and must conceptualize this to be good at cyber defense. Once you put a concept into a generalization machine any number of concepts can be connected. And when these are natural concepts that arise in simple number systems, an LLM can easily meta-conceptualize that form like this would be instrumental to its continued running.
