alt Hacker NewsI don't think this optimistic take is what vast majority of people experience in their daily lives. The AI gets used as glorified Google, and the AI-generated videos get pushed to the elderly as they can't tell the difference.
Or am I out of the loop and people outside the tech world do use it in a way I'm not aware of?

Heaps of normies use either Chat, Grok or now Muse to replace their Google Search of everything.

People basically outsource their thinking and think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Most people at large corporates seem to use copilot daily (bundled with O365) to summarize Teams calls and assign actions, rewrite large documents and inflate them back out into PowerPoint decks.
