Most math is already being done by meagrely funded mathematicians. The entire US federal budget for mathematics is like $100M. One college football coach can already make 10 percent of that. No mathematician is making bank.

Math will, sure. Mathematicians, doubtful. After all, most high end physics research with billions in funding is now done by postdocs making a lower middle class salary.
