In an official statement Mata attributed technical problems to the reduced reach of Lula posts in comparison to Bolsonaro Jr ones https://www.cnnbrasil.com.br/eleicoes/meta-nega-interferenci...
Why the assumption meta wouldn’t admit to doing it?

It’s their platform, they can boost who they want.
Apart from the fact that Meta admitted to it (https://www.brasil247.com/brasil/meta-admite-restricoes-a-co...) there is always the practical experiment anyone could have done at the time that meta's AI would deny making an image of Lula but would gladly create one of Bolsonaro (https://g1.globo.com/tecnologia/noticia/2026/10/14/ia-da-met...)
That and the fact that US is actively putting money into favouring the candidate that's offering them access to Brazilian rare earth reserves (https://valorinternational.globo.com/politics/news/2026/09/3..., https://amadomundo.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/memorando-... and https://youtu.be/xPlKzqiYH5c?si=Cw4YGXU8B2Xb2EHY) we are looking at a direct attack against Brazil's right to self determination by the US and its corporations.
Isn’t meta tied to links with the CIA? Who happen to have a long history of election interference. It doesn’t seem to be that much of a stretch, also https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Facebook%E2%80%93Cambridge_Ana...
Meta chose to be a platform for political ad campaigns, and part of that money comes from the taxpayers. They have the responsibility to prove they are treating both sides fairly, and to ensure their automated systems don’t favor either candidate, intentionally or not.
The fun part about protesting is that you don’t need proof, lawyers or judges. It’s not a court. Suspecting or believing is enough.
Meta employees seems to be one of the evidences https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/meta-employees-said-l...
