Same with a lot of their investors, who will be just fine without the "insane profits" they hope for.
I'm not worried about their welfare, and won't shed a tear if their companies collapse.
It isn't just those who own stock. If the AI bubble bursts violently it will impact literally everyone. Everyone who owns indexed stocks. Everyone who owns tech stocks. Everyone with a variable rate mortgage. Everyone with a job. The AI spend is now so much of the western economic system that every one of us has skin in the game. At least on the risk side.
